Merimbula hosts EPA forum for councils | Bega District News

Merimbula was the location for one of the NSW Environmental Protection Authority’s (EPA) forums for councils and licensees on Thursday, March 4. A spokesperson for the EPA said that at the EPA forums, members of the EPA executive outline the EPA’s regulatory strategy and share with council and industry representatives information on the EPA’s key regulatory priorities and discuss local environmental topics. “The Merimbula forum discussed issues such as bushfire clean-up, the protection of waterways, waste management and organics and keeping the community informed as well as partnership with councils and how we can work better together to support each other,” the spokesperson said.
